Terms of use

1. Who we are

Zaffy (zaffy.events) is an online service for creating personalized wedding invitations, sending them to guests and collecting their replies. It is run by [to be completed], Entrepreneur individuel (micro-entreprise), SIRET [to be completed], [to be completed] ("we"). Contact: [to be completed].

By creating an account or using Zaffy, you accept these terms. If you use Zaffy for a business (for example as a wedding planner), you accept them on behalf of that business.

2. Your account

You sign in with your e-mail address and a code or link we send you. Keep access to that mailbox safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

The information you give us must be accurate. You are responsible for what is done with your account, including by the co-organizers you invite to a wedding.

3. Free preview and sizes

Every new wedding starts as a free preview: you can set up everything and test it with a few invitations, but you can't publish it.

To publish the wedding and add all your guests, it needs a size (Intimate, Classic or Grand). Sizes differ only by the number of invitations (one link each, for a family, a couple or one guest). Prices are shown before you pay, in euros in the euro area and in US dollars elsewhere. TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI.

You can pay by card, on the secure payment page of our provider Stripe, or with an activation code bought by Whish, OMT, cash or bank transfer. A size is paid once for one wedding. Moving up to a bigger size costs the difference between the two prices.

Activation codes work once, for one wedding, until the date shown when they are issued. Packs of codes are valid for the period shown when they are sold.

Planner plans are monthly subscriptions, paid by card and renewed automatically each month until cancelled. Cancelling (from the planner dashboard) stops the renewal at the end of the month already paid. If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days; after that, client weddings stay online and guests can still reply, but they can't be changed until the plan is renewed. A plan can also be paid by the other means above, for the period agreed with us.

4. How long an invitation stays online

An invitation with a size stays online until 6 months after the wedding's last event, and at most 18 months after the wedding got its size.

30 days after the wedding, it becomes read-only: guests can still open it, replies are closed, and you can still view and export your guest list.

To prevent an invitation from being reused for another wedding, the couple's names can no longer be changed 14 days after the invitation is first published. Contact us to fix a mistake.

5. Your content and your guests' data

You keep the rights to what you add to Zaffy (texts, photos, videos, music, guest lists). You allow us to store it, adapt it to screens and show it to the people you send invitations to, only to provide the service.

You must have the right to use everything you upload, and the permission of the people whose names, phone numbers or e-mail addresses you add. For your guests' data, you decide what is collected and why; we process it on your behalf (see the Privacy policy).

This includes music: use your own recordings, royalty-free music, or songs you hold a licence for. A song bought or streamed for personal listening does not give you the right to publish it. When you add music, you confirm that you have this right, and we keep a record of who confirmed it and when.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Zaffy for anything other than invitations to real events;
  • upload content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • send messages to people who haven't agreed to receive them, or use Zaffy for spam;
  • try to get around the limits of your size, access other people's weddings, or disrupt the service.

We may suspend a wedding or an account that breaks these rules, after warning you when possible.

Anyone who believes content on Zaffy infringes their rights (a song, a photo…) can report it with the contact form, saying which invitation and why. We review each report quickly, remove content that infringes, and tell the couple why.

7. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Zaffy available and your data safe, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. Keep your own copy of important information, such as an export of your guest list.

To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the wedding concerned. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law.

8. Refunds

Refunds follow our Refund policy.

9. Closing your account

You can delete a wedding at any time from its Details settings, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [to be completed]. We may close an account that breaks these terms.

10. Changes, law and disputes

We may update these terms; we'll tell you of important changes before they apply. These terms are governed by French law. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to find a solution together. If you are a consumer, you may also use a consumer mediator, and you keep the protection of the law of your country of residence.
